HYPER ISLAND BRANDING PROJECT
BRAND GUIDEBOOK
Bolageriet is a Swedish accounting company that offers simplified personalized accounting services to freelancers and small business owners. With our services, we make it easy for our clients to secure their company's accounting, and invoice management and keep track of their VAT (Value added tax).
This was my team project at Hyper Island in Stockholm.
Visual Brand Concept
The visual brand concept for Bolageriet is a professional yet playful design based on the lifestyle of a freelancer.
With its swirl shaped logo and balanced color palette, Bolageriet is symbolizing efficiency and reliability.
The imagery is selected to bring a feeling of ease and happiness. The asymmetrical shapes of having sharp meeting soft and round edges is inspired by our key values mentioned above.
Overall, the concept evokes a sense of trust and personal aspect, highlighting the company's promise to take care of its clients' accounting needs.
Logo
Primary Logo
The heart reference in the primary logo (B monogram) is a tribute to our care for our clients and the swirl shape is to emphasised our service's easy flow. The sharp that meets the soft and round edges is inspired by our key values.
We have two versions of the logo that serve different purposes. This logo is used in both online and offline environments that involve returning clients that are aware of our brand. With that being said, this logo is going to be used more over time as the business grows.
The logo is easy to differentiate even when seen at a distance.
Secondary Logo
The secondary logo is used when introducing Bolageriet to a new audience. All letters are individually designed based on our visual brand concept. It is easier to use across a range of mediums and applications, such as websites and business cards. This logo creates a sense of balance and stability, and since it is grounded by a strong horizontal line it makes the logo feel more solid and reliable. It also conveys a sense of professionalism, approachability, and simplicity that a vertical logo cannot achieve.
Colors & Shapes
Primary Colors
Our serene color palette reflects our key values; professional yet playful and confident. These soft and calm colors provide a young visual for reflecting on the customer’s experience.
The primary colors make up the major parts of the brand identity and are used in elements such as backgrounds and shapes.
The soft pink is balanced with the muted green to show strength, and the pink offering a sense of ease. The pastel purple is partnered with the clean, bright beige representing freshness, and joy, like a warm spring day.
Secondary Colors
This palette is used as small contrast to the primary palette, which provides interests, depth and delightful experience for the customer. It is a balance that provides a foundation to the softness, which gives the brand strength.
These colors are used for call to action buttons, text, highlights, and logos.
Shapes
Our shapes makes our brand more memorable, helping it to stand out in the minds of consumers. They are synonymous with the brand (derived from the logo), which makes it easier to recognise and remember. They can be used in a variety of contexts and media, such as business cards, website graphics, and social media posts.
Implementation Examples
In the following images you can get a sense of what our brand should look like in different contexts.
